Intellectual Property AttorneyDozier Internet Law is not your typical law firm. We only handle Internet law disputes. John W Dozier, Jr. founded his first E-Commerce business, Dozier Electronic Commerce Solutions, in February of 1994, at the very infancy of the web. After 15 years as a litigation attorney, John turned his attention full time to the new business in 1996, raised $3.5 Million in venture capital, and was the primary chief architect of some of the first E-commerce applications for American Express, Citicorp, Sears, First USA Bank, and American General Finance. By 1997 the company was being recognized for its innovations and success as the "Top Emerging Technology Company" in the Central Virginia area. He returned to practicing law in 2001 with the founding of Dozier Internet Law. As a trial lawyer and technologist, John sees the big picture and focuses on finding solutions, wherever they are. The Dozier Internet Law firm embraces this philosophy in a way unlike most law firms of today. Recognizing the unique business and technical expertise required to deliver high quality solutions to clients, the entire firm's infrastructure is built to leverage John's expertise and permit him to take a "hands-on" approach to problems. Our firm is a support organization under John's leadership and direction; not your typical group of lawyers with vastly differing degrees of experience and knowledge trying to help a client who found the law firm because the founder of the firm is a high profile Internet expert. We have three types of professionals within the Dozier Internet Law team. John W Dozier, Jr. is the founder, President, and sole shareholder. He takes the lead in each matter and determines the strategy, tactics and actions. An "E-Commerce Specialist" is a specialized non-lawyer with a focus on domain name, search engine optimization, reputation management, social network and Web 2.0 issues. And then there are associate lawyers and paralegals who bring traditional support to the table. The benefit, of course, is that by managing our workload closely, we can deliver consistently high quality results at exceptionally reasonable rates.
